AMS x Bernard Kerr: The RISE Grip, Signed in Sand

Most signature products are a name on a sticker and a few extra dollars on the price.

We wanted this one to be the opposite.

When a rider who has won Red Bull Hardline three times puts his name on a grip, only one question really matters: would he actually run it? Not for a photo. Not for the launch. On his own bike, on the gnarliest tracks on earth, when getting it wrong has real consequences.

With the AMS x BK RISE Grip, the answer is yes. And that's the whole point.

Why the RISE, and not something new

A signature grip is only as good as the platform underneath it.

The AMS RISE wasn't built for a marketing moment. It was developed with the creators of the Unno bike brand and designed in Barcelona, and it set a real benchmark for what a mountain bike grip can do. The idea was simple and hard to pull off: total connection with the bike, without your hands paying for it on a long, rough day.

It gets there with a variable diameter that lets your hand sit where it naturally wants to, a fine micro diamond texture for traction in the wet and the dust, and ribbed pads with internal ribs that add cushioning and control exactly where you need them. You can even rotate them to fine tune the thickness and feel. Comfort and control, without choosing between the two.

That's the grip Bernard picked. Not because of the name on it, but because of the balance it gave him when the riding got fast and rough: control, support, and confidence.

What Bernard actually brought to it

Bernard Kerr is a British gravity racer who runs Pivot Factory Racing and has spent his career on the steepest, most committing tracks the sport has to offer. When someone like that chooses a grip, it has already passed the only test bench that counts.

His signature edition keeps everything that makes the RISE work and gives it an identity of its own:

  • A custom BK single inside lock collar, so the grip stays locked and the detail is unmistakably his.
  • A Sand marbled colorway that looks nothing like the usual black gravity grip, and stands out on any cockpit.

It's a small set of changes, made with intent, on a grip that was already proven. No gimmicks. Just his stamp on something he genuinely rides.

The honest details

Here's what you're actually getting:

  • Length: 132 mm.
  • Diameter: 30.6 to 33 mm, depending on the zone and how you rotate them.
  • Material: durable single compound rubber.
  • Pattern: micro diamond texture with ribbed pads and inside ribs.
  • Weight: around 103 grams a pair.

A grip won't turn you into Bernard Kerr. Nothing will. But the contact points are where your confidence comes from, and this is a grip a three time Hardline winner trusts when the stakes are at their highest. That's a lot to ask of a part most people never think about.

The AMS x BK RISE Grip in Sand Camo is a signature edition that earns the word. Not a sticker on someone else's product. A grip Bernard rides, with his name on it for a reason.
