Miami Glide is AMS’s wax-based chain lubricant for MTB, gravel, road, and e-bikes. It’s designed to keep the drivetrain clean, quiet, and efficient by reducing friction and repelling dirt.
After testing many existing wax lubes and finding compromises in performance, packaging, transparency, or ease of use, AMS developed Miami Glide locally near its Barcelona base to better meet rider needs: performance, clean finish, durability, and sustainability.
-Wax lubes repel grit and dust better than wet lubes (which attract muck).
-They last longer than many dry lubes in mixed (dry to light wet) conditions.
-When applied correctly, they leave a clean, low-residue finish. But wax lubes need a clean chain before application and some curing time (overnight).
1- Start with a spotless chain — degrease thoroughly and dry.
2- Apply wax drops to each link while turning the crank slowly. The formula is tinted (Miami Blue) so you can see where you’ve applied.
3- Let it dry / cure (ideally overnight) so the wax bonds properly.
4- After curing, wipe off any excess wax.
That depends on conditions and use. In dry or light conditions, it can last many rides. In wetter or more abrasive terrain, you’ll want to reapply daily. AMS positions it for dry to moderately wet conditions.
Yes, the product page lists its use for MTB, gravel, road, and e-bikes. The wax formulation is compatible with standard chains and drivetrains.
That can compromise performance. Dirt or old residue will block the wax’s bond, reducing durability, efficiency, and the cleanliness benefit. That’s why AMS emphasizes starting with a clean chain and letting it cure.
